This client had two old metal cages which were used to store parcel deliveries. We were asked to refurbish them to look like post boxes and improve security to house parcels and mail for the clients' tenants. We the units, added box section steel to close in the gaps and clad the front and sides in ply before decorating in the post box colour scheme.

When the client requested a third post box for another tenant, the dilemma was that the original steel structures were handmade and not available to buy. So, we set about making a bespoke replica completely made from timber to the exact scale and dimensions of the original units. We copied every single detail including custom made ironmongery to match the existing and we even replicated the welding detail with a mastic gun. All concerned we're very pleased with the result.
